Aldi Satya Mahendra Successfully Won Podium Runner-up and Recorded Best-Time AP250

The all-out struggle was proven by a potential racer fostered by Yamaha Racing Indonesia, Aldi Satya Mahendra, who won the runner-up podium in the second race of the Asia Production 250cc (AP250) class at the 2022 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) at the Sportsland SUGO Circuit, Japan on Sunday (14 August 2022).
Aldi Satya Won Podium with Injured Hand
Even though his fingers were injured after a crash in the 2nd free practice (FP2), it did not break the fighting spirit of the Yamaha Racing Indonesia (YRI) racers. Even Aldi Satya Mahendra had to undergo the race from the 17th starting grid because he did not take part in the FP3 or AP250 qualifying sessions on Saturday (13 August 2022).
It is proven that this 17-year-old racer from Yogyakarta, step by step, overtakes his opponents one by one. And in the last 2-3 laps has pushed closer to the front row. Finally, in the last lap Aldi Satya Mahendra who rode a Yamaha YZF-R25 motorcycle was able to finish 2nd. An achievement that deserves appreciation as a rookie or newcomer to the AP250 class.
Even more special, Aldi Satya Mahendra also carved a best-time or best time record for the AP250 category with a time of 1 minute 41.212 seconds. Referring to Sportsland SUGO ARRC 2022 results, Aldi Satya Mahendra is in 5th position in the AP250 standing point. There is a very open opportunity to improve its position because the difference in points is very thin with the 3rd rank only 5 points apart.

Meanwhile, his teammate Anggi Setiawan, who had also been in 3rd position in the early laps or 5th in the final lap of race 2 of the AP250, ended up finishing 11th. The racer from Palu, Central Sulawesi, had a crash in an incident involving several racers approaching the finish line.

SS600 Class
In 600cc Supersports class, Galang Hendra Pratama struggled for the top 5 position. The competition on the Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycle race was so tight that the final lap.

In the end, the Galang racer Hendra Pratama had to settle for finishing 7th. While his teammate M Faerozi finished the race in 11th place. Currently, Galang Hendra Pratama and M Faerozi are in the 7th and 16th positions respectively in the SS600 standing point standings.
