The national proud rider Galang Hendra Pratama was unlucky in Race 1 of the WorldSSP race at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit - Indonesia, Saturday (20 November 2021).

The potential rider from Yogyakarta who carried the Ten Kate Racing team was unable to finish the race due to technical problems with his YZF-R6 bike. In fact, this problem has been felt by him since he decided to change to intermediates due to very heavy rain conditions so he could not perform optimally. He only followed the race until the 9th lap. At that time he was in 19th position. This problem will be jointly evaluated by the team to then look for the cause and find a solution.

He is ready to perform optimally in the race 2 that will take place. The main target is to be in the top 10 in order to improve his position in WorldSSP standing points and currently he is still in 21st place with a total of 24 points.

“I took a big gamble in Race 1. It was raining very hard in the last sector and I decided to go in to change to intermediates. It turned out to be the wrong choice. When I started pushing after the pit stop I got a problem and had to end the race. I am very disappointed, as it is my home race. But this can happen. I am now focusing on tomorrow. I am looking forward to the Race 2. I hope the weather will be stable, dry or wet, so we can finish the weekend on a good note!” ” Said Galang Hendra Pratama.

We ask for the support of the Indonesian people so that Galang Hendra Pratama can perform optimally in this home race and can make Indonesia proud on the WorldSSP international racing stage.
