Galang Stays Optimistic, Race Better at WorldSSP Portimao

Yamaha Racing Indonesia's 22-year-old fostered rider Galang Hendra Pratama is ready to undergo the WorldSSP continuation series at the Portimao Circuit - Portugal, this weekend (1-3 October 2021). The rider from the Ten Kate Racing Yamaha team is optimistic that he can regain significant points after he crashed in the Jerez lap, Spain (26 September 2021). Potential and opportunities for him are still open to improve his ranking in the WorldSSP standings.

He will make optimal use of the free practice session to find the best set-up on his Yamaha YZF-R6 bike. He is very familiar with the Portimao Track which has a length of 4,592 km and 15 available bends.

Last 2020 season, he finished 17th and 15th in the two races that took place at that time with the bLU cRU WorldSSP by MS Racing team. He is currently in 18th position with 24 points in the WorldSSP standings

“This week we will race again in Portimão. It's a challenging track, especially with a 600 bike. Last year I managed to score points there and I would like to repeat that this year. From the results of the Jerez race last week, it became a record for me and the team to make improvements. We will work hard to regain my confidence. It is the last round in Europe. I will never give up and will try my best to score points again,” said Galang Hendra Pratama.

We ask for support and prayers from the Indonesian people so that Galang Hendra Pratama can perform optimally in the WorldSSP Circuit Jerez - Angel Nieto, Spain Circuit Portimao - Portugal so that he can make Indonesia proud in the world.
