Ready to Hold! Yamaha Endurance Festival 2021, The Most Prestigious and Challenging Race Stage at the End of the Year

The long-awaited Yamaha Endurance Festival will be held again for the 3rd time at Sentul International Circuit, Bogor, this weekend 18-19 December 2021. The Yamaha Endurance Festival is the only endurance racing competition in Indonesia that has been holding since 2018 and it continues held every year. The 2020 season was not held because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2021, the event will be held by implementing strict health protocols and without audiences. All participants who take part in competitions or activities around the venue must have been vaccinated and tested for antigen. They also have to wear masks, keep their distance and wash their hands for everyone involved in this event.
In this prestigious competition, there are 3 classes, namely Pro Rider 250cc, Community Rider 250cc and Community Rider 155cc + National Media. They will ride a Yamaha YZF-R25 or YZF-R15 motorcycle with duration of 2 hours in each class. In endurance racing, apart from being physically fit, of course, it really requires a team strategy to achieve maximum results.
The excitement of the Yamaha Endurance Festival 2021 is marked by the participation of professional riders, the community or the national media, as well as the best teams in the country who are ready to take part. Among them are Yamaha RRS Racing Team, Yamaha Bahtera Racing Team, Yamaha The Strokes 55 Racing Team, Yamaha Akai Jaya, Yamaha HDS Racing and others.
“The 3rd Yamaha Endurance Festival 2021 is as a Pilot Project where Yamaha holds a racing event for the first time during the pandemic. What is different this year is the increase in the duration of time for 2 hours where the previous year for the 150cc class was only 1.5 hours. This has gone through careful consideration for the Yamaha YZF-R25 or YZF-R15 motorcycles. We have done a study and it is in accordance with the aspirations of our fellow riders and the community, including the opening of the National Media class. This year Yamaha and its sponsors are showing great enthusiasm to foster a racing culture in Indonesia, which has been absent for almost two years at Yamaha racing events,” explained Riyadi Prihantono, Coordinator Manager of After Sales & Motor Sports PT.
