The Rookie Aldi Satya Finishes 4th in AP250 & Galang Finishes 8th in SS600 Race 2 ARRC Thailand

The Rookie or newcomer rider to the Asia Production 250 (AP250) Aldi Satya Mahendra showed his talent and potential by finishing in 4th position in race 2 of the 2022 Asia Road Racing Championship (2022 ARRC) which was held at the Buriram Circuit Thailand, Sunday (27 March 2022). This 15-year-old rider from Yogyakarta was able to compete with his senior rivals. The Yamaha Racing Indonesia (YRI) team rider who proved special in the second sector of the Buriram track was able to take advantage of opportunities and stay safe when there was intense competition in the final laps.

Referring to the lap times data, Aldi Satya Mahendra, who rode a Yamaha YZF-R25 bike, consistently played in a time range of 1 minute 53 seconds to 1 minute 54 seconds. On the last lap (10th) he was included 4 riders who recorded the fastest time or also 3rd position in the fastest lap race 2. Meanwhile, his teammate, Anggi Setiawan, finished the race in 9th position.

"Race 2 in this inaugural ARRC I am quite positive by finishing the race in 4th position, the struggle to stay in the front row position is very difficult, because I am a Rookie rider who rode the YZF R25 bike, next round I will be more optimal to get more Gaspoll!,” said Aldi Satya Mahendra.

"Thank God, the inaugural ARRC series at the Buriram circuit - Thailand, for Race 1 & Race 2 I was able to finish until the last lap, the fierce battle of the ARRC race made me even more excited to appear in the 2nd series in Sepang Malaysia," said Anggi Setiawan.

Of course, this result is a strong motivation for them in the context of collecting points and becoming more optimistic towards the 2nd series of 2022 ARRC which will be held in Sepang-Malaysia on 27-29 May. Various ways will be evaluated together to achieve a better output than the previous series.

On the other hand, the formation of the Yamaha Racing Indonesia (YRI) team that competed in the Supersports 600 (SS600) category Galang and Faerozi managed to finish the race 2 in 8th and 9th positions. These two Yamaha YZF-R6 riders continue to make progress and to carry out intense communication with technicians or mechanics.

"This race 2, I managed to finish the race with 8th position, this is not enough for me, I want to thank the team who always work hard in preparation for the race. I will be more excited for the Sepang-Malaysia series 2, for Yamaha Semakin Di Depan Full Gaspoll!,” said Galang Hendra Pratama.

“Step-by-step I continue to improve setup with the team in this inaugural ARRC Series. Thank God, in Race 2, I am grateful that I was able to finish in 9th position, for the Sepang-Malaysia series 2 I will try more for good results,” said Faerozi.

The main target to collect maximum points can be realized. The 2022 ARRC series has a long way to go. There are still 5 more rounds ahead. The most important thing is to be able to consistently score points. This is an important capital to maintain opportunities until the final series later.

We ask for supports and prayers from the Indonesian people so that the Yamaha Racing Indonesia team can achieve achievements in the next series to bring the name of Indonesia in the world for Merah Putih Semakin Di Depan.
